FOUND MY PEOPLE
Early in adulthood, I bounced between jobs that didn't pay the bills. Then friends spread the word that I needed furniture, and strangers filled my apartment out of the kindness of their hearts. That was the day I knew I wasn't alone. One day at my barista job, a regular who knew I was training to become an electrician said "Here," and handed me the phone. Little did I know, that was my future boss. I just dove in and worked hard to show my worth. I used to try to control everything. Letting go was the best thing I ever did.
