ADVOCATING FOR FAMILIES
I never thought I'd need to start over. After nine years out of the workforce, I found myself raising two grandsons alone and living in survival mode. I proved I could master something entirely new: medical billing. When a sudden layoff hit, I pivoted toward what I knew most deeply: the struggles of grandparents raising grandchildren alone. Today I am the CEO of Beloved Grandfamilies, serving families like mine and advocating for them in Washington, D.C. Resilience means facing difficulties head on.
